CORFU ISLAND & HOTELS
Corfu Island

Corfu is small enough to be friendly and large enough to provide you with a never ending change of scenic beauty. And there is no difficulty traveling from one part of this island paradise to another.

For instance the golf club is only 20 minutes drive from Corfu Town (Did you know they play cricket there?) To reach the club from the town you drive across the narrow waist of the island from the magnificently scenic East coast to the equally impressive but perhaps more rugged West coast.

The drive is a picturesque one, past quaint little houses and rows and rows of olive trees. And the roads aren't crowded, for despite its centuries of history and its splendid beaches and sunlit bays, Corfu remains unspoilt!

This does not mean to say it is isolated, for there are daily flights to the island - the airport is right in the town - and from April to the end of October there are numerous charter flights from a number of European countries.
And there are ferry and Catamaran services from the Greek mainland and from Italy.

Corfu is an easy place to get to (3 hours flight from London), but it is a difficult place to leave, for once you set foot on the island it is liable to cast a spell over you, from which you never really recover. That is why so many people come to Corfu again and again and again.
